Sue Hufton

I have over forty years of experience as a practitioner and teacher of Calligraphy and Lettering. Since training at Roehampton in the 1980s, I have undertaken many public and private commissions of written, painted and carved work and my work is also in collections at the V&A, Crafts Study Centre, Farnham, and the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.

For many years, I taught calligraphy at Roehampton and Sunderland Universities and am a short course tutor in lettering and bookbinding at West Dean College. I teach workshops in Europe the USA, Japan and Australia. As well as written and painted calligraphic commissions, I work with textiles and woven letters. I exhibit my work regularly and contribute articles to relevant journals.
