I was born in 1941 in Carmarthenshire, Wales. I attended Carmarthen School of Art and then Camberwell and the Royal College of Art in London. I have worked as a freelance designer/craftsman from 1966 to the present day. Teaching has been an important part of my career, and I still offer private tuition. I count it a blessing that most of my work has been to commission. Though this has left me little time to do my ‘own work’, the diverse demands of clients have encouraged me to be more versatile. I have had to think sideways and be more imaginative.
