I live in the east of the Netherlands in a small town near the German border. I was trained as a fine artist and as a teacher in the arts. I taught myself the craft of lettercutting and my style has become something of a mix of continental and English styles.

I make memorials to commission and often use Belgian limestone, a type of stone that has been used here for centuries. In my work I often play with meaningful words and beautiful lyrics. I love writing, drawing and playing with letters. In the last few years my focus has been on the classical Roman capital.
